During the development of the GRANIT™ Super Extreme 2500, much attention was paid to the best possible resistance against attacks with electric angle grinders, as these attempts to crack bike locks are increasingly observed in large cities. Our special material mix of tungsten carbide around the lock shackle and housing is the answer to this phenomenon and makes it extra difficult for thieves. The shackle, housing, and bearing parts of the lock are made of hardened steel.
This extremely robust shackle lock of “Made in Germany” quality secures bikes against brute theft attempts. The ABUS XPlus™ cylinder provides extra protection against clever burglary methods such as picking.The USH 2500 lock holder is easy to attach to the bike: Plastic-coated metal straps and optional screw holes provide flexibility. To prevent the lock from rattling during the journey, it is securely fastened with both ends of the shackle in the USH 2500.Thanks to the large size of the shackle, numerous connection possibilities can be found quickly and easily. But thieves have a hard time with this robust bike lock: Because even the angle grinder encounters granite here.
